Kalina’s Restaurant – Terms & Conditions of Restaurant

By booking a function at Kalina’s Restaurant, the client acknowledges and agrees to abide by these Terms & Conditions.
1. General Policy: 1.1 By booking a function at Kalina’s Restaurant, the client agrees to comply with these Terms & Conditions. 1.2 Management reserves the right to refuse service or entry to guests in accordance with Australian liquor and consumer laws. 1.3 All function bookings are subject to availability and must be confirmed in writing. 2. Booking & Deposit: 2.1 A deposit of 30% of the total estimated function cost is required to secure the booking. The deposit is non-refundable in case of cancellation within the notice period specified in Section 5. 2.2 Bookings are not confirmed until the deposit has been received. 2.3 The remaining balance must be paid in full at least 7 days prior to the event. 3. Minimum Spend & Set Menu: 3.1 Functions may be subject to a minimum spend, which varies based on the day, time, and section of the venue booked. 3.2 Groups of 10 or more guests are required to select from a set menu designed by the restaurant to ensure smooth service and quality experience. 3.3 Any additional food or beverage orders on the day will be charged accordingly. 4. Final Guest Numbers & Dietary Requirements: 4.1 Final guest numbers must be confirmed 7 days prior to the function. The final bill will be based on the confirmed number or actual attendance, whichever is higher. 4.2 The restaurant will endeavour to accommodate all dietary requirements and allergies but cannot guarantee an allergen-free kitchen environment. 4.3 Guests with severe allergies are responsible for informing the food attendant in advance so we can take necessary precautions. 5. Cancellation & Refund Policy: 5.1 Cancellations must be made in writing. The following cancellation fees apply: • More than 14 days’ notice: Full refund of deposit. • 7-14 days’ notice: 50% of the deposit is forfeited. • Less than 7 days’ notice: Full deposit is forfeited. 5.2 Transfer of function date and deposit will be accepted based on availability. 6. Payment & Pricing: 6.1 All function prices are inclusive of Goods and Services Tax (GST). 6.2 A 10% surcharge applies on Sundays and a 15% surcharge applies on public holidays. 6.3 Payments can be made via EFTPOS, credit card, or bank transfer. A credit card surcharge may apply. 6.4 Any additional charges on the event day must be settled at the conclusion of the function. 7. Alcohol & Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA): 7.1 Kalina’s Restaurant is a licensed venue and strictly adheres to NSW Liquor Licensing laws and Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) requirements. 7.2 Guests must be 18 years or older to consume alcohol. Valid photo ID is required upon request. 7.3 No BYO alcohol or external beverages are permitted. 7.4 Management and the service team reserve the right to refuse alcohol service to any guest deemed intoxicated or behaving inappropriately. 8. Function Timing & Venue Use: 8.1 The function duration will be agreed upon at the time of booking. Extended use of the venue may incur additional fees. 8.2 Guests must vacate the premises by the agreed-upon time to comply with licensing and operational requirements. 8.3 Decorations must be approved by management. No confetti, glitter, or open-flame candles are permitted. 9. Damage & Liability: 9.1 The client is responsible for any damage to the venue, property, or equipment caused by guests during the function. 9.2 Kalina’s Restaurant is not liable for any loss or damage to personal belongings of guests. 9.3 The client must ensure that guests conduct themselves in a responsible and respectful manner. 10. Entertainment & External Suppliers: 10.1 External suppliers (e.g., DJs, musicians, decorators) must be pre-approved by management. 10.2 Any additional equipment or setup must be discussed in advance and comply with venue restrictions. 10.3 Noise levels must comply with local council regulations. 11. Health & Safety Compliance: 11.1 The venue follows NSW Food Authority and Work Health & Safety (WHS) regulations. 11.2 Smoking and vaping are prohibited inside the restaurant and only allowed in designated outdoor areas. 11.3 Any accidents, injuries, or hazards must be reported to management immediately. 12.
